In this weeks assignment we where to create a landscape or cityscape in Photoshop. I chose to create a landscape that showed nature taking back. In this photo I found a building front on historic Frankfort ave. With this photo I added the background of a creek and merged the two together. I then added the reflection on the water by flipping the image of the building, changing the opacity and erasing parts that would not be in the water. By changing the brightness of the of the building it gave the appearance of being in the same light as the creek. In the second photo I took a picture of a flower in my yard and by selecting the center of the flower I was able to change the texture to a stained glass texture. While playing around with a picture of a cow I had taken I added wings and boots to the cow. After resizing the image to fit into the main picture I was able to arrange the image onto the flower. With what I have learned to do so far with Photoshop I am able to insert people or objects in to other photos.

  1. Superior use of selection and spatial arrangement on your first image. It truly feels out of the ordinary and surreal. The second feels like less of a landscape, but I like the texture in the flower - the cow does see a little less integrated in this one.
